Although April 22 is recognized around the world as Earth Day, at Mannington we strive to respect the environment year-round. Here are three ways we walk the talk everyday with thoughtful intent…and style.
With deep rich color, bright highlights and authentic grain patterning, Riviera Teak laminate brings to mind the highly-prized exotic tropical hardwood that’s native to southeast Asia. This 8″ wide plank comes in two colors–Cocoa and Sunkissed.
LIke all Mannington laminate, Riviera Teak is made with over 74 percent recycled content using low VOC inks and adhesives. It’s FloorScore® certified, ensuring good indoor air quality for homes and contributes to credits for green building systems like LEED.
Mercado Oak is a stunning wire-brushed, subtly distressed hardwood floor with refined and sophisticated detail. This 7″ wide plank (in lengths up to 7′) features a staining application that creates remarkable character and variation from plank to plank. It comes in three colors–Leather, Linen and Silver.
Mannington engineered hardwood floors are crafted in environmentally responsible ways. Mannington factories are FSC® Chain of Custody certified and use half as many trees as solid wood floors. Faster-growing, renewable wood is used for inner piles. Mannington uses only water-based finishes that contain no VOCs and a formaldehyde free adhesive system that meets or beats the most stringent indoor air quality standards. Most Mannington hardwood products are FloorScore® certified and all meet-or exceed-the formaldehyde levels set forth in CARB phase I and I, the most stringent emissions laws in the world.
Mannington’s respect for the earth comes from the top down. On the roof of our corporate headquarters in Salem, NJ, is the industry’s largest solar array with 3.3 acres of solar panels that generate more than one million kilowatt hours per year.
Every day, we’re looking for new ways to be kinder to the earth. How about you?
